When I first saw Lizzie Kate’s Be Silly Snippet #S117, I knew I wanted a version of it in my daughter’s room as a daily reminder for them. On my 6 year old’s first day of school in August, I reminded her to “Have Courage and Be Kind” to the other kids at school. This is something she is very good at.
When I presented this finished piece to her, she was thrilled and said, “Oh Mommy, I love this. I am silly, honest and kind.” She really is. She is a beautiful soul.
I wanted to keep the stitching minimal to just the phrase for impact and knew the browns would not coordinate in her white and gray room. So, I changed the colors and finished the piece on a sticky board from Yarnology and then stuck it in a frame she already had in her room. She loves it and I love it too.
