Crochet Sunflower Blanket Color Inspiration

Are you like the rest of America this year and obsessed with Sunflowers?  I am!  Totally obsessed.  No shame in my game on that.  So now is the time to prepare because mid July/ August is typically the time to put out the sunflower decorations, and from my experience, they are appropriate to have out well, whenever the heck you want, but especially through September and even into November depending on how big you go for Halloween.

I wanted to make a blanket that matches my house really well, but one that wouldn’t take toooo much time and too much money.  You know me.  I like to do things as cost effectively as possible.  So I decided to use my free Crochet pattern, worsted weight yarn and a I/5.5mm Hook.

The yarn I am going to use is Brava Worsted 100% Acrylic Yarn.  This yarn is $1.99 for a 100g, 218 yards ball of yarn.  But right now KnitPicks is having a Summer Yarn Sale!  So some of the colors are even cheaper.

What you will need is my free pattern: Sunflower Granny Square.  You can find it by clicking on the link provided 🙂

You will need a Size I/5.5mm Crochet hook

Worsted Weight Yarn, Knit Picks Brava Worsted.

Colors: Sienna (2), Caution (4), Almond (4), and Cream (13).  [These () are how many balls of each color I bought.]

I am going to go get started on this and share how to the granny squares look with you in just a few days while you go order your yarn from KnitPicks!   See you back here soon <3
