Sensational Pretzel Rod Valentines Directions
- Microwave your chocolate in bursts of 30 seconds until melted
- Color your white chocolate if desired using a gel food coloring. Here is what we used.
- dip your pretzel sticks and cover 1/2 or 3/4 way with chocolate, place on parchment and immediately sprinkle with toffee bits or sprinkles before the chocolate sets and cools.
- Lay pretzel rods out on parchment or wax paper and drizzle melted chocolate over multiple pretzel rods at the same time. Immediately add sprinkles and extra bits.
- Let your decorated pretzel rods cool completely.
- Print out the Valentine sheet
- Laminate – optional here but it made these sheets very long-lasting and professional-looking. Here is the inexpensive laminator I use and it works for all of my homeschool needs.
- Use hole punch and punch out in top corner left or right.
- Place cooled and hardened pretzel rods in your packaging.
- Cut your yarn in lengths of 12″
- Place yarn under pachaged pretzel rod, slip your laminated card through hole punch and tie the yarn in secure bow.
- Place in a display or handout as valentines!
These Sensational Pretzel Rod Valentines were a big hit at our homeschool co-op Valentine’s Day party. These were so easy to make and were a very professional presentation at our party. Sensational Pretzel Rod Valentines would be a fantastic addition to any baby shower as well.
I look forward to making more of these for each upcoming holiday this year. These pretzel rod treats are so much fun for the kids to make as well as an inexpensive snack to bring. Also, kids big and small loved these! I think the little ones felt very fancy when they ate them and it made them feel very special. It was adorable!
