Storybook Pocket Pillow Sewing Tutorial – Fabric Requirements and Dimensions
Supplies
- 1/2 yard cotton fabric for main part of the pillow
- 1/2 yard cotton fabric in contrast color or patter
- or you can just buy 1 yard of cotton fabric and do pillow in pattern – double check if using directional fabric
- 1 bag fiber fill or polyfil
- sewing machine
- matching thread
- sewing pins
- scissors
Cut Fabric to These Dimensions
- Cut 2 of main fabric 17″ x 17″
- Cut of contrast fabric 17″ x 21″ (be aware of directional fabric) – this will be used for the pocket
- Cut 1 of contrast fabric for handle 10″ x 4″
- use 1/4 to 1/2″ seam allowance throughout project – just stay consistent
