Week 1 – 9/5/2024
Beginner Crochet Class Overview

The first week will cover what is the fiber arts and what is crochet.
Each class will have a video they can wach on my YouTube channel that cover the same material we went over that day in co-op. This is a free resource that can be shared with friends and family or even other homeschoolers who may want to learn how to crohcet. This is also intended to help the child or parent learn the stitches each week with a close-up visual to help them make their washcloth or scarf during the week before the next co-op class.
In this class, we will make washcloths as we learn single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet, as well as how to weave in ends and fully finish a project. In week 5 we will begin making a scarf that the student can wear or gift for this Fall season. If there is time, and depending on how the class goes we can add another project. That will be determined by how the class does or on a per-student basis. I will supply free crochet patterns and videos for each project.
