I am absolutely in love with all of these booklets put out by Brenda Gervais of With Thy Needle and Thread. I have stitched three out of Jack O Lantern Jubilee. This is my second of hers of her series and I plan on collecting them all. I recently purchased this as a reward “for being a good girl” when I completed my video in partnership with Diamond Art Club asking the question Should A Cross Stitcher Try Diamond Art? I like to document the color changes I make to designer’s cross stitch pages to share with all of you, especially when I share my projects on my Flosstube on my youtube channel.

I find keeping track of my color changes critically important when I am stitching multiple smalls from a booklet. This is because I typically cross stitch them over months at a time.

The first chart that I am stitching is Tip-toeing Through the Tulips using a darker palette and so far I have selected the colors 602 for the pink tulip and 469 for the green stem purely because that is what I grabbed from stash.

I am stiching this 2 over 2 on 32 count Platinum Lugana which I also purchased through 123stitch.com.

I have yet to decide if I will stitch all of the smalls in this darker palette but for now, I know specifically that I would like to finish this on a wooden home decor piece I purchased for 99 cents from my local Goodwill this past week. I am contemplating fully finishing all of these pieces on small upcycled home decor pieces that I find and thrift and then display that way instead of pillows. Just to change it up from all of the pillows I FFO’s my recent cross stitch designs Easter Spools, Chick On Easter Egg Hunt, and 123 Ballerina Chickie, which you can easily purchase as an instant PDF download through BriannLentzShop on Etsy.
