Chart: Boo Trick or Treat by Stitching with the Housewives.
Fabric: Stitched on hand dyed 14 count Aida using Grey Rit Dye
Finishing Fabric is Wal Mart Halloween Fabric from their 2020 line.
Color Changes:
I changed the colors to the chart and used the following DMC
Cup – 844
- Ecru
- 3865
- 310
- 3826
- 920
- 3802
- 731
- 937
I finished these pieces on foam board and cardboard with spray adhesive and batting. Then I attached the fabric using fabric-tac glue. All of which are acid free adhesives. I will be creating a tutorial for how I fully finish my projects without sticky board and hot glue very soon and you can watch me fully finish this in my upcoming Flosstube #3 being uploaded later this week.
I am displaying my finished work on a Halloween Metal Decor basket from Wal Mart this 2020 year and I only payed $2.97 for it! I love that this display is also a functional piece for Halloween and plays on the actual cross stitch piece itself. This could not have worked out better for my halloween home decor this year!!!
I really really love this finish. I went back and forth between adding trim and pom poms to it but in the end I stayed true to myself and kept my Halloween finish really simple.
I will continue to say this again and again.
There is beauty in simplicity.
I am loving the charts coming out from Priscilla and Chelsea and canNOT wait to stitc their new Candy Cane Coop Chart. I have a package coming in Wednesday from The Silver Needle with their new Christmas releases and I am so excited!
